Four
years ago, today, a house fire destroyed practically everything I've
ever owned and loved - my clothes, books, artwork and poetry, toys and
stuffed animals from childhood - ALMOST everything. What wasn't
destroyed was my memory of all those things and more. When you have a
mind full of memories, of that warming nostalgia, you need not mourn the
loss of material things. Four years later I choose to celebrate what I
once owned and the experiences of those things only in passing. Now and
forever I live to celebrate each moment that has coming along since -
starting over in a new house that has become a true home not through
tangible things, instead from times I share with family and friends.
