Truer copy cannot be written. With Black Friday approaching ever so quickly, we should remember that while it's one thing to get a bargain, it's something else to invest in quality. I've been thinking of picking up a new camera this Friday, but as I preview the ads and see markdown after markdown, I'm left realizing that my money would be better invested in something sure to last, not a piece of mediocre equipment sure to be outdated in six months.

Clever
As someone who works in advertising, I love a clever layout and copy - even when written in chalk.
But this could end very badly for all parties involved when an already-drunk bar-hopper stumbles into the pub that displays this sign.
Oh well.
Still funny.

Happiness Is
Sure, every Beatles knows Happiness is a Warm Gun, but did you know...
That's what you get for listening to the White Album while Photoshopping.

Advertising Right on Target
I don't know a great deal about women's clothing, but I know advertising.
Jason Wu, about whom I know nothing at all, just released a collection exclusive to Target
and I know I love this whimsical, creative campaign.

The Suit and Saw
Nothing like bringing home that freshly chopped Christmas tree from the forest when you're wearing a suit. Good one, J. Crew.

Fishing in Fair Isle
Twenty-seven years later, not a single part of this outfit is irrelevant. Fashions will fade, and the Fair Isle trend will go away soon enough, but I'll never stop wearing these classic pieces of a gentleman's wardrobe.
Speaking of trends, a friend recently asked if I'd like a Kiel James Patrick bracelet for Christmas. I showed her this. I cannot support someone who makes light of racial stereotypes, regardless of whether his products are made in New England, the ghetto, or a Chinese sweatshop. Aside from that, grown men have no business wearing such ridiculous bracelets.

Photo Shootout
This is my 25th post, and I'm surprised it's come so quickly. Instead of focusing on my achievements so far, I'm continuing with my advertising spread. However, I'm proud that today's photos truly capture my style. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos as much as I enjoyed putting the outfits together and shooting them. I'll reveal the final ad draft tomorrow. Thank you for your readership and support!

Photo Shootout
Over the next few posts, I'll be displaying images from my mock Polo photo shoot. I'll explain. for my current advertising class, I'm required to construct a mock print campaign for a real product of a real company. I chose the Polo Ralph Lauren classic polo shirt, deciding to emphasize the shirt's timeless quality, durability and style. In the final post of the series, you'll see the initial ad I've put together.
