Oxford cloth is known for its durability and warmth. It fades and frays over time as it grows softer and more comfortable. With those characteristics, I believe oxford shorts make sense.
Absolutely! I own a pair in blue and a pair in pink. I'm not sure if they are as comfortable as my other shorts. Perhaps I will have to wait until they soften with repeated washings. I seem to recall reading a post where it was claimed that they are not to be considered "Trad" !?

Those seem like they would be much more lightweight in summer, I assume those are all Polo photos? I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for them.
